A faulty air conditioning motor caused some issues in a Rancho El Dorado home Saturday night.

Fire crews were dispatched to a report of a house fire on North Van Loo Drive near Anne Lane at about 10:15 p.m., according to the Phoenix Regional Dispatch Center .

“The occupants said there was some smoke inside the house,” Battalion Chief Will Sherwood told InMaricopa.

An air conditioning motor faulted and caused the smoke, MFMD spokesperson Monica Williams said. There were no flames.

“We ventilated the house and made sure [the residents] were safe to go back inside the structure,” Sherwood said. “We notified them that they’re going to have to in the morning contact an A/C repair company to fix whatever is broken inside the attic,” he added.

    There were no injuries.
