    MPD phone outage impacts non-emergency line

    UPDATE July 15, 8:23 p.m.: MPD’S non-emergency line is back up and running. Please use 520-568-3673 to make a non-emergency report.

    UPDATE July 14, 10:11 p.m.: The non-emergency line remains out, according to a new statement from Maricopa police. 9-1-1 continues to operate normally.

    The temporary number for non-emergency reports has changed, and is now 520-840-0070.

    Maricopa police ask that citizens only call 9-1-1 for an active emergency.

    ORIGINAL STORY July 14, 12:13 a.m.: Maricopa Police Department is experiencing a phone outage.

    The non-emergency line is down, according to a department-released statement. 9-1-1 is operating normally.

    If you need to reach non-emergency services, you can use this temporary number: 520-316-6800.
