‘Blow your f*cking heads off’: City leaders threatened with death

Mayor Nancy Smith, all six city council members and other city leaders received a profane and disturbing email last week urging Maricopa residents to “come together and blow your f*cking heads off.”

The July 11 email from an unidentified sender was the result of a confrontation between a First Amendment auditor Peter J. Rodriguez and Maricopa cops. The incident, covered by InMaricopa , led to Rodriguez’s arrest .

Meanwhile, the July 4 confrontation between Rodriguez and officers may lead to administrative actions that were unspecified.

“Our reviews are continuing, and administrative action(s) will be taken as appropriate,” Maricopa Police Chief Mark Goodman said in an email to City Manager Ben Bitter and the city council members.

InMaricopa obtained the email communication today through a public records request.

Goodman said Maricopa Police Department command staff has performed a preliminary review of the confrontation and arrest.

Rodriguez is charged with assault on an officer, resisting arrest, refusal to identify himself, obstructing a thoroughfare, criminal nuisance and obstructing governmental operations.

Goodman said command staff’s initial review “offers opportunities for training and continued improvement.”

MPD command staff and Deputy City Manager Micah Gaudet, chief public safety officer, were sent a copy of the email “for awareness,” the chief said.

The email to city leaders in its unedited form:

“IS THIS how you c*cksuckers let your f*cktards treat the people of that community???? IF SO, The I TRULY HOPE the GOOD people of that community come together and BLOW your f*cking heads off …… I WILL urge them to do so …. F*CK YOU and your OATH violating for profit parasites ….. GET RID of those OATH violating FILTH, before AMERICANS come and do it for ya ……….. NOW F*CK OFF ………….”

Chief Goodman said “no actionable threats were determined.”

“The incident that unfolded was a multi-faceted and rapidly evolving event that our officers continuously train to navigate,” the chief said.

Rodriguez was video recorded by fellow 1A auditors while he video recorded the police at the scene of the July 4 traffic hazard at John Wayne Parkway and West Ferrell Road.

The footage shot at the scene while fireworks from Copper Sky park blasted overhead was posted online to the High-Impact Flix website called Bitchute under the title, “Dozens of cops escalate on Independence Day.”

The video was called “Zero to Insanity,” with a still frame taken from Rodriguez’s video showing an MPD officer pushing him and screaming for him to leave the scene shortly before the arrest.
