‘I am going to shoot you,’ lesbian daughter tells homophobic mom: report

A woman is accused of pulling a gun on her mother and threatening to kill her Saturday night, according to Maricopa Police Department. The violent situation reportedly started when the mom disapproved of her daughter’s homosexual relationship.

Cops arrested 42-year-old Tiffany D. Parron on felony weapons charges, according to a probable cause statement . Hers was the third gun violence arrest of the weekend in Maricopa.

It was around 7:30 a.m. when Parron’s mother told police at her Senita home on West Maricopa Avenue that her daughter said, “I am going to shoot you,” and pulled a gun on her.

She said her daughter “has made jokes like this in the past” but she “was surprised when the gun was actually displayed,” according to the police report. Parron’s girlfriend was also present, and the lovers engaged in a “scuffle.”

The girlfriend told police the gun was locked in a safe. This turned out to be untrue after officers found the 9-millimeter handgun loose in a cabinet.

Parron told police her mother “was just upset at her being homosexual,” and was threatening to falsely imprison her. She denied handling the gun and placed the blame on her girlfriend.

But the police didn’t believe her story.

“Based on the statements provided during the interviews, despite conflicting information, the location of the firearm, and to totality [sic.] of the circumstance there is probable cause to believe that Tiffany was in possession of the firearm during the altercation,” the police report states.

After Parron was handcuffed, she told police her mom probably got confused when she was playing the first-person shooter video game “Call of Duty” and mistook the virtual gun for a real gun.

Parron was booked into the Pinal County jail. She faces a year-and-a-half in prison.
