Xanax dealer, 23, with fake ID ran from cops during third-straight DUI: report

An alleged drug dealer was blackout drunk when he ran from the cops on his way home from a party in the middle of the night on Wednesday, Maricopa Police Department reports.

The 23-year-old drunken driver with multiple previous DUI convictions reportedly broke nearly every driving violation in the book when cops tried to stop him in The Villages at Rancho El Dorado Wednesday morning.

Maricopa police arrested Isaac M. Barrett on felony charges of unlawful flight, possession of prescription drugs for sale, promoting prison contraband, aggravated DUI and a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully using a driver’s license, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa .

Barrett’s father called the cops just before 3 a.m. and said his son pulled up drunk to his North Madison Drive home in The Villages “with two tires possibly popped.” The dad said Barrett became “very upset” and drove away.

Cops found Barrett driving south on North Butterfield Parkway with no rear lights. Barrett reportedly fled when officers initiated a traffic stop near Eddie Way. Sirens were activated and a chase down three nearby roads ended when Barrett finally pulled over at an undisclosed address.

Police handcuffed Barrett and asked why he didn’t stop. He simply replied that he “did not know,” according to the report.

Barrett had a different man’s driver’s license in his wallet.

Barrett “admitted to officers in one of his multiple stories he was drinking alcohol prior to the incident to the point where he was unaware how he managed to get home from the party,” the police report stated.

A search of Barrett’s Kia Sportage yielded a prescription bottle for Xanax from a Mexican pharmacy. Barrett told police he “did not know anything about the drugs.”

Barnett faces more than 28 years in prison.
