Chandler Fire Department Earns Prestigious International Reaccreditation, Maintains Elite Status Among U.S. Fire Departments
The Chandler Fire Department boasts a fresh international reaccreditation by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI), following a comprehensive process that took an year to complete. Reaffirming its status every five years since 1999, the department continues to showcase its prowess among the nation's fire departments. "This exceptional evaluation shows that Chandler is one of the finest fire departments in the nation,” Chandler Fire Chief Tom Dwiggins expressed, according to a statement on the Chandler City’s official website.
1 dead after multiple pedestrians hit by car in north Phoenix
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is dead, and another remains hospitalized after they were hit by a car early Thursday afternoon in north Phoenix. The collision happened shortly after 12 p.m. near 35th and Peoria avenues. Phoenix police say two cars crashed, causing one of the vehicles to hit three pedestrians who were standing on the side of the road.

Tiner, 38, was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison in connection with a Jan. 12, 2023, fatal collision on Interstate 10 in Chandler which resulted in the deaths of five people.
