County launches billboard campaign with Clear
Starting this week, more than 100 digital billboards across the Valley will display critical local heat relief resources, thanks to a partnership between Maricopa County, Clear Channel Outdoor, the Maricopa Association of Governments and the City of Phoenix. Drownings for children under 5, expected to surpass 11-year average
More children under five years old have drowned this year in Maricopa and Pinal counties than last year, with child drownings in Phoenix doubled. The first half of 2024 has seen 13 drownings for children under the age of five, known as pediatric drownings, according to Children's Safety Zone, which monitors drowning incidents.
