This week, Gas South unveiled the company’s new headquarters office in The Battery Atlanta.

The office, located at 788 Circle 75 Parkway, spans two floors at The Battery Atlanta and is designed to embrace the company’s hybrid work model.

“For Gas South to be a leader in today’s workplace environment, we must adapt our offices to the new way of working with spaces that are functional and collaborative,” Gas South President and CEO Kevin Greiner said. This new space is uniquely designed to be a magnet for drawing our employees in with the latest technology advancements.”

The company revealed its new location during a grand-opening ceremony that included Mike Plant, president and CEO of the Atlanta Braves Development Company; Cobb Chairwoman Lisa Cupid; and Sharon Mason, president and CEO of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.

The 31,000-square-foot space has multiple workspaces including focus rooms and high-capacity meeting rooms. The office also includes multiple amenities for employees such as wellness rooms, gaming lounges and an in-office kitchen.

For almost two decades, Gas South’s headquarters were located on two separate floors at One Overton Park, about a six-minute drive from its new location.

According to the Gas South website, after the COVID-19 pandemic, the company recognized the need for an updated office space that would allow employees to come and go as their particular jobs required. After seeing success with a smaller hybrid office in Gainesville, Florida, the company decided to move forward with planning a new space for their headquarters in Cumberland.

Greiner described the space as an homage to Gas South and the Atlanta Braves, who have partnered together for over 20 years. He said it will be a key asset in helping the company attract and retain top talent.

During the ceremony, Plant said he was impressed by the design of Gas South’s new headquarters.

“The design reflects Gas South’s strong values, culture and continued support of our organization,” Plant said. “A relationship that began in 2008 will continue to flourish for years to come.”

Gas South is a subsidiary of Cobb Electric Membership Corporation and serves nearly 500,000 customers throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

Mason told the MDJ the Cobb Chamber is thrilled to support Gas South in their newest venture.

“The Atlanta Braves have ignited a thriving environment that continues to help us attract and retain major employers like Gas South in our community,” Mason said. “Gas South will not only benefit from the prime location, but the team and their vendors were intentional in each aspect of the design for an outstanding work space.”
