    Funeral for Slain Deputy Set, Public Asked to Line Roadway

    Services to honor the slain Paulding County Sheriff's deputy have been scheduled for Friday.

    Public services for Brandon Cunningham, 30, will be held at West Ridge Church in Dallas. Cunningham will then be transported for a private burial at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

    Spectators are encouraged to line Dallas Highway to view the procession, which is set to begin at 4 p.m.

    Cunningham was killed while responding to a domestic violence call in Hiram Saturday evening. He was a Marietta High School graduate, father of two and faithful deputy in Paulding for four years.

    "The passion and bravery my brother showed every time he put on his badge was contagious,” said brother Kevin Cunningham. “He carried out his duties and responsibilities with pride and our community got to witness firsthand the kindness and dedication he had.”

    Cunningham's Friday service schedule is as follows:

    Public visitation — 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral — 2 p.m. Outside services — 3:15 p.m.21-gun salute — 3:30 p.m.Taps — 3:35 p.m.Flyover — 3:40 p.m.Last call — 3:42 p.m. Procession begins — 4 p.m.
