The Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair will reopen at 4 p.m. Friday at Jim Miller Park in Marietta.

The fair was closed Wednesday and Thursday for Tropical Storm Helene.

The storm hit Cobb County late Thursday night and early Friday morning, flooding several roadways, downing dozens of trees and leaving thousands of residents without power.

According to Cobb County's Emergency Management Agency, the storm began heading east by 6 a.m. Friday.

"Latest forecasts are showing the system moving east of Cobb County. While this wasn't quite what we are expecting, we are thankful to not have our community severely impacted ... We are still anticipating extended rainfall and some strong wind gusts so please continue to stay inside and not travel until the storms have cleared," a Friday Facebook post from the agency reads.

The fair plans to continue all regular operations through the weekend, before closing on Sunday.

To make up for missed days, the fair is offering a $25 for unlimited rides special.

"In addition, we're thrilled to offer College Night and kickoff our MUST Ministries admissions special offering free admission with the donation of five non-perishable canned goods per person," the fair's announcement reads.

All traffic will be directed to County Services Parkway for parking.

"As always, your safety is our top priority, and we'll keep a close eye on the weather conditions," the fair's announcement reads. "... Let's Ride!"

The fair will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
