Marietta Man Dead After Fourth of July Crash
A Marietta man is dead after police say he suffered a medical event that likely led to a car wreck on Thursday. Shortly before 6 p.m., 59-year-old Carl Scealf Jr. was traveling southbound on Powder Springs Road near Smitha Middle School. Cobb Police say he crossed the center of the roadway, colliding with a car operated by 30-year-old Amber Singleton, of Powder Springs. Scealf was transported to Wellstar Cobb Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Singleton was transported to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. Four Lake Lanier Boaters Hospitalized After Fourth of July Incidents

Man Accused of Child Molestation Off County Services Parkway
William Stanley Ashworth, 32, of Hiram, is accused of molesting a girl under the age of 16 between March 4, 2012 and Aug. 31, 2015 at Trophy Hut, 2261 Austell Road in Marietta, a business near the intersection of Austell Road and County Services Parkway, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department. Ashworth is charged with two counts of sexual battery; and two counts of child molestation felony. He was arrested on June 26 at 3 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Ashworth remains in custody without bond.
Marietta Man Accused of Child Molestation
Antonio Vieyra Reyes, 54, of Marietta is accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl for about a year with the last incident being June 15 at a Marietta residence, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department. Reyes is charged with child molestation felony. He was arrested on June 29 at 4 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Reyes remains in custody without bond and is under a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Homeless Man Accused of Stabbing Another Man
Joshua Kaleb Nation, 38, who is listed as being homeless, is accused of stabbing a man twice in the back on June 29 at 8 p.m. at 1350 Atlanta Road in Marietta, near the intersection of Austell Road, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department. The victim was found in a nearby business asking for help and stating that he had been stabbed. After an investigation in a neighboring business, police found that a verbal altercation turned physical. Nation admitted during an interrogation that he had stabbed the victim, according to the warrant. Nation is charged with aggravated assault weapon and battery substantial physical harm. Trayvon Cameron Fraizer Harmon, 25, who was accused of being a peeping tom on June 20 in an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department, has been accused of five more peeping tom incidents.
