    Marietta Man Accused of Naked Burglary

    Akeem Jamar Thrasher, 40, of Marietta, is accused of trying to breaking into the victim’s Marietta residence while naked on June 29 at 9 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

    Thrasher knocked on the door and was later seen on video using his shoulder and body to attempt to break down the front door. After several attempts, Thrasher went around to the back of the home as police arrived. While speaking to the victim, police heard a loud bang and went to the back of the residence. Thrasher was found inside an enclosed patio attempting to open the sliding glass door that led to the kitchen, according to the warrant.

    The victim told police that Thrasher was a complete stranger. Thrasher admitted to attempting to gain entry to the home. He said he thought the people inside were friends and that he was there to “chill and party,” according to the warrant.

    Thrasher is charged with burglary – first degree. He was arrested on June 29 at 9 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

    Thrasher remains in custody without bond.
