Neuhaus, the celebrated Belgian chocolatier, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first boutique in Philadelphia today. The 200-square-foot Rittenhouse Square store is located at 1616 Walnut on the ground floor of the Icon building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building includes high-end rental apartments, apparel retailer Theory, and exercise studios from Stretch Lab and CorePower Yoga. Jacob Cooper and Britney Goldberg of MSC leased the space.

The boutique will offer an assortment of irresistible truffles and chocolates filled with an exquisite selection of fresh cream, praline, ganache or gianduja, all freshly imported from Belgium. This new location on Walnut Street was meticulously chosen for its perfect blend of vibrancy and a touch of tranquility. Here, chocolate enthusiasts can explore the Neuhaus story, savor unparalleled taste and texture combinations and even indulge in high quality chocolate tasting experiences.

Established in 1857 as a pharmacy in Brussels, Belgium, Neuhaus stands as a hallmark of chocolate excellence. Pioneering the Belgian filled chocolate and consistently innovating with 100% sustainably sourced cocoa and natural ingredients, Neuhaus remains a beacon of taste and quality.

Philadelphia resonates deeply with the chocolatier's Belgian roots, sharing a rich heritage and a charming city center. Nestled amongst Philadelphia’s most vibrant shopping scene in Rittenhouse Row, the new boutique embodies Neuhaus's unwavering commitment to quality and indulgence, offering a haven for chocolate connoisseurs and curious newcomers alike.

“We have always thought that Rittenhouse was Philadelphia’s sweetest location,” said Corie Moskow, Executive Director, Rittenhouse Row. “What we are seeing now is a surge of confectionary boutiques. The trend in this neighborhood is work hard, stay healthy, and make sure to treat yourself. We welcome Neuhaus to the plethora of sweet treats from recent businesses including The Sugary, Chip City, Jeni’s, Van Leeuwen, soon to open boutiques from Levain, Taylor Chip and Rittenhouse Row staples like Metropolitan Bakery and Bakeshop on 20th.”

This is the brand's second regional location, following its store at the King of Prussia Mall. The brand will collaborate with local hotels and retailers to offer their guests a taste of Belgian chocolate indulgence.
