More than 30 rescuers trained in Point Reyes Station this week for the aftermath of an 8.0-magnitude earthquake. The Marin County Urban Search and Rescue Regional Task Force 1 drill was held Thursday at the Commodore Webster Training Facility. Rohnert Park Man Charged with Raping Elderly Woman in Marin County
A Rohnert Park man is suspected of raping an elderly woman who he was caretaking for, injuring two others and threatening to kill himself before being arrested Sunday evening in Marin County. 23-year-old Yuimi Zingkhai was arrested in Kentfield. Authorities said the arrest charges include allegations of rape, attempted murder, elder abuse on a dependent adult, kidnapping, lewd and lascivious acts by a caretaker, battery, robbery, false imprisonment, dissuading a witness, brandishing a weapon and domestic violence. He is being held without bail at the Marin County jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Marin County Superior Court.

A tragic traffic collision occurred last Friday evening, taking the life of a Penngrove man. Steven Michael Campanali, 57, died following a high-speed motorcycle crash on Highway 1, South of Snake Road. Marin County Sheriff's Office reports that around 6:17 PM, Campanali was riding a 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 heading northbound when he inadvertently crossed the southbound lane and collided with a 2001 GMC 3500 Sierra HD pickup truck.
