Vikes Views: Are You in Favor of 18 Games?
Who doesn't want more Minnesota Vikings action, but is it too much?. There are multiple sources out there stating the NFLPA and the NFL are discussing expanding the season the 18 games. This expansion would also come with two byes to help with load management. The NFL is one of the shorter seasons in professional sports, due to the violent nature of the game. This expansion would bring two additional weeks and make it a 20 week season. This would obviously bring two additional weeks of revenue and more money for all. That’s why Roger Goodell gets paid so much, to bring in additional revenue. The NFLPA will likely ask for additional roster spots, but the players have money to gain as well. More money means a higher salary cap and a higher floor. It makes too much sense for both sides to not get it done.
What’s Next for the Minnesota Vikings at Cornerback?
As we were heading into the rookie minicamp, cornerback was viewed as a position that needed a breakout candidate or two to be viable in winning for the Minnesota Vikings. The position group was a mixture of mid-round draft picks and veterans on cheap contracts with the hope that a few would outperform their status and contribute more than they expected.

Police departments are offering big raises. Does it work?
When Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara took over the department in 2022, he says it was like walking into a funeral parlor. “People weren't even talking to each other,” he says. “A lot of members were openly telling me, ‘Yeah, if somebody asked me, they're thinking about becoming a cop, I told them, no way, don't come here. Everybody hates us. Everyone is leaving. Go anywhere else but Minneapolis.’”

Jay Jackson: Cut by Twins
The Twins released Jackson on Thursday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Jackson cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, but rather than keeping him on the minor-league staff, the team will now cut ties with the 36-year-old reliever. In 26.1 innings with Minnesota this season, he posted a 7.52 ERA and 1.41 WHIP alongside a 29:9 K:BB. He'll now attempt to latch on with another club -- most likely on a minor-league deal.

This Airline Is Now Leaving Minnesota For Good
It wasn't too long ago this airline added non-stop service to Minnesota, but it's now leaving our fair state for good. Outside of perhaps death and taxes, there is one other constant in the world: change.
