The city will pursue Brownfield redevelopment funds on the $950,000 property, Mayor Steve Genisot said. He said there’s been much discussion over the years about the parcel. In last week’s meeting, Alderman Doug Oitzinger asked why the city was buying the property. He noted that the city would be dealing with Shore Drive Development, LLC, which was created less than a month ago on April 7. He said the offices are an attorney’s office in Wausau called Ruder Ware. He didn’t offer any further questions about why the city was purchasing at this meeting. “It appears that who we’re really negotiating with is this attorney Christopher Pahl, which shows up on the escrow agreement,” Oitzinger said. “But who are we really dealing with?
