Community Conversations event planned in Marinette School District

    2024-03-14

MARINETTE — The Marinette School District will host a two-night Community Conversations event designed for the public “to share your perspective, and help us grow our community together.”

The first meeting will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Marinette High School, 2135 Pierce Ave. In that meeting, the district will establish its purpose as a group, gather input and feedback from community participants around issues and trends impacting our schools and students, and share in successes and celebrations, according to the district’s website.

The second meeting will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at Marinette Intermediate School, 826 Owena St. That meeting will be grounded in revisiting themes and trends that emerged through the first meeting, and begin our future focus to generate ideas to positively impact our schools and community, the district stated.

To RSVP for the event and for more information, people can go to: https://www.marinette.k12.wi.us/CommunityConversations.aspx

More information is available on the district’s website, including a short video from Superintendent Corry Lambie, who provides an overview of the two-night event.

Note, a quorum of the board of education may be in attendance, but this is not an official meeting and the board will not conduct any business during this event.
