    DenRuyter, Tracy named co-M&O Players of the Year

    COLEMAN — Coleman’s Courtney DenRuyter and Crivitz’s Taryn Tracy were recognized as co-Players of the Year, as the Marinette and Oconto Conference unveiled its All-Conference softball teams on Friday.

    Both girls were also All-M&O First Team selections, with DenRuyter locking down one of the two pitchers’ spots, while Tracy was one of two catchers to make the First Team.

    DenRuyter compiled an overall record of 20-3 and helped the Cougars advance to their first WIAA State tournament. She gave up 52 hits and 41 earned runs in 140 innings pitched, good for a 2.05 ERA, while racking up 300 strikeouts against just 76 walks.

    Crivitz’s Isabelle Danielczak joined DenRuyter on the First Team as a pitcher, while Emma Broullire of Niagara received the other First Team catcher spot.

    Niagara’s Aiva Champeau, Crivitz’s Hattie Frievalt, Gillett/Suring’s Emma Kristof and Wausaukee’s Lydia Schaal make up the First Team infield.

    The First Team outfield is comprised of Wausaukee’s Helen Phillips, Lena/Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy’s Adrena Rabas and Niagara’s Mallory Sanicki.

    Keaghan Stumbris (Wausaukee) and Eleisa Sweig (Niagara) were named Second Team pitchers.

    The Second Team catching duo is made up of Coleman's Alyssa Kurth and Wausaukee’s Melody Schaal.

    Macy Nowak (Coleman), Bristol Sanicki (Niagara), Hannah Thomson (Lena/STAA), Tayah Werner (Crivitz) and Izabella Wesoloski (Crivitz) compose the Second Team infield.

    Coleman’s Annabell Markiewicz, Gillett/Suring’s Bailey Stuart and Crivitz’s Madelyn Welty are the Second Team outfielders.

    Receiving Honorable Mention were Lena/STAA’s Peyton Dorow, Gillett/Suring’s Autumn Dryja, Coleman’s Alyssa Hoida, Crivitz’s Kirsten Pusick and Wausaukee’s Aubrey Watson.
