Marinette's Hanson earns First Team All-NEC honors

MARINETTE — Three members of the Marinette High School baseball team hauled in All-Conference accolades from the North Eastern Conference on Monday.

Senior Weston Hanson received All-NEC First Team honors as a designated hitter, junior Justin Kruse was selected to the Second Team as a utility player, and freshman infielder Wyatt Stauss garnered Honorable Mention.

Freedom’s Carson Clausen was chosen as the NEC Player of the Year in addition to garnering unanimous First Team honors as a utility player.

Pitchers Jaycob Dittmer (Denmark) and Charlie Vanden Burgt (Little Chute), catcher Quade Thompson (Wrightstown), infielder Jack Severson (Wrightstown) and outfielders Trevor Vande Hey (Wrightstown) and Grant Van Gompel (Little Chute) were all unanimous First Team choices.
