MARINETTE — Sierra Schreiner continues to forge her legacy as one of the most potent scorers to ever terrorize the North Eastern Conference.

Schreiner was voted as the NEC’s Offensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive year on Tuesday after authoring another superlative season on the pitch for the Marines.

The junior midfielder, who was also a unanimous All-NEC First Team selection, led the conference in scoring with 17 goals in just 11 games while collecting six assists.

The next closest scorer was fellow Marine Chloe Seymour, who pumped in 14 goals and three assists, en route to garnering First Team honors at forward.

Schreiner and Seymour were two of the five Marines to receive All-NEC laurels.

Josie Smerchek was a First Team choice in the midfield, while Bry Torkko, also a midfielder, nabbed Second Team honors.

Smerchek led the Marines and the conference in assists (9) and was the NEC’s third-leading scorer with 11 goals. Torkko had three goals in NEC play.

Marinette led the NEC in scoring with 55 total goals, well ahead of Freedom, who was the conference’s second most potent offense with 38.

Lily Borchert rounded out Marinette’s All-NEC nods after earning Honorable Mention as a defender.

The purple-and-white quintet helped the Marines win their second straight NEC championship with a 6-1-1 record in conference play. Marinette finished the 2024 season 12-5-1 overall.

Freedom’s Addison Conrad took home Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named a First Team defender.

Abby Bredael of Freedom and Fox Valley Lutheran’s Kirsten Hedtke joined Schreiner in being named unanimous First Team performers.
