Southbound I-65 reopens after police pursue stolen vehicle on Indy's south side
INDIANAPOLIS — State police closed Interstate 65 southbound in southern Marion County Monday night after the pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle could be seen on INDOT traffic cameras leading officers on a slow pursuit along I-65 south of Southport Road. The vehicle had thick white smoke coming from it as it rolled onto the shoulder just south of Stop 11 Road. As troopers pulled closer, the vehicle rolled into the ditch off the right side of the interstate.
