Literacy Volunteers of Marion County offers summer reading program with a furry friend
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Literacy Volunteers of Marion County has been serving the local community of Fairmont for over two decades. Offering a place where parents can send their child to receive the individual hands-on tutoring they need, for a service free of charge. This summer organization started it’s first ever “Take a vacation " reading program; the 6 week program takes children 8-12 years old to 6 fun locations through the imaginary world of reading in an effort to make reading fun. While this opportunity does present a great opportunity for a child’s love of reading to grow; According to program Executive Director Susan May, it’s safe to say many program participants are more excited about the star of the program, Ozzie the Reading Dog.

Life with no mercy ordered in Marion County Pagan Club murder
