TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people are in custody after a standoff in southwest Topeka, Kan. Authorities confirmed they have two people in custody following a standoff. Shawnee Co. Junction City says goodbye to Dinkel
Junction City said goodbye to its longtime city manager Allen Dinkel on Wednesday in a retirement reception at the Municipal Building in Junction City. City sets property tax ceiling with nearly 14% increase
The average homeowner will see an increase of up to 13.6% in their Manhattan city property taxes next year, following a commission vote Tuesday. City commissioners at their meeting approved a resolution to levy a property tax exceeding the “revenue-neutral rate,” which is the rate at which the city would generate the same property tax revenue as the previous year using the current year’s assessed valuation.
