Stray Overpopulation: Spay and neuter program looking for funding
The City of Meridian Animal Shelter is working hard to receive grant assistance for its Spay and Neuter program. Brian McCary, Director of the Meridian Animal Shelter, announced that the City Council approved the submission of an application for The Gladys Bowyer Animal Care Grant, which is only accepting applications until the end of July.

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Meridian City Council accepted grant dollars to spay and neuter pets. The grant is known as the Gladys Bowyer Animal Care Grant. Brian McCary, Supervisor for City of Meridian Animal Control says this is to help slow down the population of pets being born out on the streets, and it is also to keep them safe from harm’s way.
