Oregon's first season in the Big Ten is one week away. There have been few if any more anticipated seasons in program history. Expectations are very high for this iteration of the Ducks. Lyllye Reynolds-Parker, a well-loved member of the Eugene community, died Thursday night. The news was shared by her niece in a Facebook post. Reynolds-Parker grew up in Eugene. Fifth annual ‘Fifth Street Marketfest’ festivities now underway
EUGENE, Ore. – A three-day community festival kicks off on Friday at the Fifth Street Market in Eugene with a number of special events included over the weekend. The Eugene Marathon’s Fun Run will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and yoga is scheduled for Sunday morning, also at 9 a.m. Throughout the weekend, each day is packed with music, activities, vendors, and, of course, food. This year, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Connected Lane County and organizers are expecting about 20,000 visitors to attend the festival.
Cool and wet start for Hood to Coast but spirits not dampened
TIMBERLINE LODGE -- — The Hood to Coast relay from Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood to Seaside on the coast got off to a kind of a cool and wet start Friday morning. But the weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits.
