, A fire at Roadrunner Recycling on Highway 123 spread black smoke across much of the eastern portion of Hays County on Tuesday morning, but crews believe the damage is contained to the items that caught fire without harm to any structures. Man who was pulled off to the side of Loop 410 hit and killed by 18-wheeler
SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed in an accident at Loop 410 on the east side Wednesay morning. Emergency crews were called out to southbound Loop 410 and East Houston Street around 10:42 a.m. Police say a man with a trailor lost his load and pulled off to the side of the highway. While he was trying to recover the lost load, the driver of an 18-wheeler did not see him and ran him over.

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Hays County deputies arrested a suspect in an aggravated robbery at a Stripes Gas Station early Sunday morning. On July 21, 2024, at approximately 2:19 a.m., Hays County deputies responded to a call at the Stripes Gas Station located at 2700 Hunter Road in San Marcos, Texas, regarding an aggravated robbery. The suspect had fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, taking $50.00 and an 18-pack of beer, according to a press release from the Hays County Sheriff's Office.
