Plans for hotel, conference center discussed for former Applebee's location
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The demolition of the former Applebee's location at 4004 Frederick Ave. began this week. Now plans have emerged on what could become of the old restaurant. "The City is actively working with the current owner to assist with the redevelopment of the seven-and-one-half acre site for the proposed use of a $58 million hotel and conference center," said St. Joseph Planning and Community Development Director Clint Thompson. "The project will help the community fill the need for additional hotel rooms and meeting space."

ST. LOUIS — A man and a woman were charged Wednesday, more than a week after a shooting at a south St. Louis restaurant left one person dead and three others injured.
