20-year-old Beaver Dam man arrested after chase
DODGE COUNTY, Wis. — A 20-year-old Beaver Dam man is in the Dodge County Jail after a chase on July 4, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said they began investigating a road rage threat on Thursday. According to their initial information, the 20-year-old man chased the complainant in their car, then ignited and threw fireworks at them. The 20-year-old man eventually flashed a firearm as well. A description of the 20-year-old man's vehicle was provided. The vehicle was eventually found near Keller Boulevard and Park Avenue in Beaver Dam.

Flood advisory lifted in Appleton
APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - The City of Appleton experienced a brief period of very heavy rain Friday, which led to localized flooding on some streets. According to National Weather Service data, the city says parts of Appleton received over 2.5 inches of rain in a short amount of time. This, in addition to a wet spring and early summer, contributed to the flooding situation.

Land O’ Lakes organizations working towards conserving around 1,400 acres
LAND O’ LAKES, Wis. (WJFW) - Here in the Northwoods, we are surrounded by nature, and to stay close to nature, sometimes land must be preserved. That's why one community is working to conserve hundreds of acres of forest within their area. Not far from each other in the Land O' Lakes area are two privately owned pieces of property that are currently in the process of being conserved. Joe Hovel, the Director of Partners for Forestry, stated that this wouldn’t be possible without the Forest Legacy Program, designed to help states conserve land for future generations. The program assists states in purchasing land and, in this case, provides additional support.
