Christiana Powell, a 63-year-old Woodlawn homeowner who was foreclosed on in 2022, is camping out on her lawn in a last-ditch effort to keep her family’s longtime home. After years of fighting the foreclosure in the chancery, appellate and federal courts, Powell received a final eviction order from the Cook County Sheriff's office last week.
