Personal Property Revaluations coming this month
GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Board of Assessors are beginning a comprehensive personal property revaluation this month. Real Estate Research Consultation Inc. has been hired to assist in the execution of the reevaluations, beginning with Greenfield businesses on Tuesday, July 23rd. The Assessors Department encourages every personal property owner to participate in this process, questions can be directed to the Assessors Department at (413) 772-1506.

ASHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Residents unanimously passed all three of the warrant articles at Ashfield’s Special Town Meeting on Monday. The first article requested $20,000 for the Park Tennis Court rehabilitation project. The second and third articles sought the appropriation of funds for 911 call upgrades to classrooms at Sanderson Academy and Mohawk Trail Regional School.
Pain D’Avignon Granted Liquor License Pledges To Work With Abutters To Control Parking
CHATHAM – The newly opened Pain D’Avignon restaurant, occupying the former Chatham Bakery site on Crowell Road, will soon have the ability to serve beer and wine. While some neighborhood residents expressed concern about traffic and the shortage of parking, the owners of the restaurant have pledged to work closely with neighbors to address any problems, and the select board granted the annual beer and wine license last week.

QUINCY - The state has made it clear that its emergency shelter program is at capacity. That has not stopped dozens of migrants heading to Massachusetts through any number of federal programs. One year later, Acworth sees progress to recovery after major flood damage
A year after floods destroyed roads across New Hampshire, damage that threatened buildings in the town of Acworth has been repaired. The journey to recovery for the 850-person town, which saw 32 roads damaged in major storms two years apart, has been a long one. And it isn’t over. The town still has projects ongoing with the Federal Emergency Management Agency from 2021, and is just beginning others for repairs from the 2023 storms.
