The Marlin Bulldogs football team hosted the Crawford Pirates on Friday. Marlin came out victorious, defeating Crawford in a 33-30 thriller. Marlin had the lone score in the first quarter with a 30-yard touchdown run by Mario Hopwood for a 7-0 lead. The Pirates scored the first points of the second quarter on a 9-yard touchdown run to tie the score at 7. The Marlin Bulldogs football team traveled to take on the Moody Bearcats on Friday. Marlin obliterated the Bearcats 61-7 to stay undefeated in district play. The Bulldogs started the game lightning fast and shut out Moody in the first half, leading 35-0 at halftime. The Falls County Commissioners Court met at the County Courthouse in Marlin on Monday, Sept. 25, with County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F. A. The Marlin Bulldogs football team hosted the Bosqueville Bulldogs on Friday. Marlin demolished Bosqueville, winning 62-7. The first half was a war as Marlin went into the first half leading 13-7. Marlin exploded and left Bosqueville in the dust in the second half, shutting out Bosqueville 49-0 in the second half to win 62-7. Roderick Suiters had an incredible game, throwing for 168 yards and a touchdown along with rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns. I’aire Kee also played great, rushing for 39 yards along with catching two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.
