Six Flags America to Implement Chaperone Policy Beginning Friday, July 26
Six Flags America at 13710 Central Ave in Bowie, MD has announced it will implement a chaperone policy starting Friday, July 26, 2024. Under the new policy, all guests aged 15 years or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone at least 21 years old to be admitted to, or remain in, the park after 4:00 p.m. local time.
Montgomery County, MD Continues to Expand Recycling with Plastic Film Recycling
The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is now offering plastic film recycling services at the Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center in Derwood. Plastic film are flexible plastic bags and wraps. They are recycled differently than bottles and containers. For example, grocery bags and bread bags do not go in most curbside recycling bins. Instead, plastic bags and wraps should be taken to the Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center in Derwood or other plastic film drop-off locations.

Following a traffic stop last Friday, a Takoma Park man has found himself handcuffed and facing several handgun charges, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Department of Police.
