Chef Erik Bruner-Yang’s Cozy New D.C. Bar Will Open Aug. 7
On Wednesday, August 7, a cozy new bar called Providencia (1321 Linden Court NE) will swing open in the same Northeast neighborhood as co-owner Erik Bruner-Yang’s other popular establishments that include Maketto and Bronze. The small new sibling spot was announced in March and anticipation for a solid opening date has been building ever since. The Asian-Latin neighborhood cocktail bar from Bruner-Yang, Pedro Tobar, and Daniel Gonzalez explores the cross-cultural ingredients of the partners’ native Taiwan, Mexico, and El Salvador through a tightly curated dinner and drinks menu. The small bar will sit on an under-the-radar alleyway corner off of H Street NE. The two-story space features a 15-seat bar and intimate upstairs lounge with room for just 8 to 12 people at a time.
