BPOP Reveals HOF & Person Of The Year
• The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia (BPOP) announced its nine 2024 Hall of Fame Honorees and its Person of the Year. Update: Montgomery and Philadelphia counties under a flash flood warning early Wednesday evening
The National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning at 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 4:15 p.m. for Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. "At 1:18 p.m., local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring on Route 38 in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey, and on the Schuylkill Expressway near the Manayunk exit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania," says the weather service. "Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas."

PHILADELPHIA. – United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that Gabriel Rivera-Otero, a/k/a “Carlos Vasquez,” a/k/a “Gustavo,” 39, of Philadelphia, PA, and Angel Reyes-Valdez, a/k/a “Abel Anton Alberto Nunez,” 48, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, were convicted at trial of possession with the intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and maintaining a drug-involved premises. Reyes-Valdez was also convicted of illegal reentry after deportation.
Local marching band to perform in nation’s oldest Thanksgiving Day parade
The Leake County High School marching band has been invited to perform in the country’s oldest Thanksgiving Day Parade. That event is the Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, PA. This year will be the 105th edition of the parade, which has aired on WPVI-TV (6ABC) since 1966.

College catch-up: Jo Armstrong works her way to starting status with Penn volleyball
Resume: In her senior season with the University of Pennsylvania volleyball team, 2020 Verona High School graduate Jo Armstrong played in 52 sets across 15 matches, starting all of those at setter. Armstrong led Penn with 441 assists and was fourth on the team with 92 digs. Armstrong appeared in a combined 14 matches in her sophomore and junior seasons. She graduated from the Ivy League university in the spring.
