Allegan County family involved in deadly wreck to move forward with organ donation from oldest son
ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — An Allegan family already mourning the loss of a father killed in a wreck will soon say goodbye to their oldest son also gravely injured. The Savage family and their three boys were involved in a crash in Fillmore Township on June 30. It happened at 136th Avenue and 58th Street.
Car show held in downtown Muskegon to raise funds for veteran suicide prevention

Leader of Hispanic Center of Western Michigan stepping down
GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The president of the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan is stepping down from her position effective July 17. Evelyn Esparza-Gonzalez joined the center in 2017 as director of finance and was named president of the organization earlier this year. She was credited in a news release for helping oversee the organization during a period of growth.
Women’s Resource Center names new CEO
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - A new leader has taken the reins of the Women’s Resource Center to continue empowering women and fostering community support. Trudy Ender became CEO in June of the nonprofit dedicated to educating and propelling women in West Michigan to workplace success and attain economic independence. Former CEO LaSandra Gaddy stepped down in February to become president and CEO of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
