MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) – Michigan Veteran Homes is looking into the future for their new D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans and are asking you to take part.

Michigan Veteran Homes hosted a ‘Community Meet and Greet’ Tuesday night at Ore Dock Brewing Company. The event was an informal get together with the whole MVH team there to answer any questions in regard to the veteran home being built.

“Generally the residents are very excited,” said Ryan Engle, Director of Development and Strategic Engagement, Michigan Veteran Homes. “The current facility has served veterans well for many, many years. The reality is, it’s ran its use for life and it’s time for an upgrade. We’re going to build a facility in Marquette Township worthy of those who have worn the cloth of our nation. That’s going to be a state of the art private bed, private baths. Amazing facility for those who’ve worn the uniform.”
