NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - It was a beautiful hot day Sunday, with temperatures reaching triple digits and a heat advisory in effect for North Platte and surrounding cities. Several people lounged and splashed around Cody Park’s Swimming Pool, trying to beat the excessive heat. Laura Morey, a parent at the swimming pool, shared how she and her son keep cool and how she can prepare other parents who may want to bring their children out to swim.
Living Memorial Gardens repair, upgrades estimated at $50k
SIDNEY -- Living Memorial Gardens is a place in Legion Park of history, and of memories. It is now in need of repairs and significant upkeep. The City of Sidney allocated funds to replace the asphalt parking lot at the park. However, repair and upkeep are needed on the building and facility.
