Union Grove wreck leaves motorcyclist, driver of car dead
A fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred just after 7 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and U.S. Highway 231. The Marshall County Coroner's Office reported that Blake Hicks, 27, of Arab, the motorcycle driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. Carolyn Thompson, 75, of Joppa, who was driving the car, was transported to Marshall Medical Center North, where she was later pronounced dead.
