Historical Society of Marshall County receives $5,000 grant
The Historical Society of Marshall County (HSMC) announced Wednesday it had received a $5,000 Cultural Capacity Building Grant from the Iowa Arts Council. “The grant will allow HSMC to fund staff and related organizational expenses,” said president Dan Brandt of Marshalltown. “We are grateful the state legislature funded this program, and also appreciative for this grant bening awarded to us for the second consecutive year.”

I was really amazed at all of Mark Eaton’s answers to the TR’s questions regarding the race for the Fourth Ward City Council position. But why wouldn’t Mark know the answers? He attends Marshalltown City Council meetings, Marshall County Supervisors meetings, Library Board meetings, Marshalltown School Board meetings.
