BrucePac recalled 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken and turkey products due to possible listeria contamination. The affected products were sold at major retailers nationwide, such as Aldi, Trader Joe's, HEB, and Walmart, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reports .

Consumers were alerted of the recall by FSIS on October 9, 2024 , following routine testing that revealed the ready-to-eat products contained listeria. At that time, the full list of products included in the recall hadn't been released yet. The product list is now available and can be found here .

The products were produced from June 19, 2024 to October 8, 2024, and distributed to restaurants and institutions nationwide. The meat and poultry products can be found in pre-packaged casseroles, salads, wraps, and other products sold at popular grocery store chains.

While there have been no reported illnesses from consuming the recalled products, listeria contamination can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal issues.

If you have the recalled products in your possession, FSIS urges you to return them to the place of purchase or throw them away. If you have any questions about the recall you can contact Jeff Golangco, vice president of business development at BrucePac, at (503) 874-3000 or call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at (888) 674-6854.
