The Missouri Department of Conservation is revising its white-tailed deer management plan. MDC is now seeking public feedback on the plan's goals and objectives, according to a press release. New plan goals include deer population management, hunting and recreation, deer health and disease, education, communication, public engagement and research. Missouri sees danger of industrial food waste
Gov. Mike Parson of Missouri recently signed legislation banning industrial food waste from Arkansas food processing plants. Waste from Arkansas can include offal, blood and grease, an estimated at 200,000 tons per year, being spread as fertilizer on pastures and farms in Missouri. The ban is related to concerns about runoff contaminating water.
