INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:. Devin Morris, 24, of Inez, was arrested Monday in Inez on charges of willfully setting fire on land not owned or controlled by him, second-degree desecration of venerated objects, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespassing.
Martin County Kiwanis Club offers 50% off dues to boost membership
INEZ — The Martin County Kiwanis Club is offering new members a 50% discount on annual dues in a bid to grow its membership. Kiwanis President Melissa Phelps announced Thursday that new members can join the club for $50, a significant reduction from the usual $100 fee. The offer is valid until the end of 2024.
Inez man charged with desecrating religious object
INEZ, Ky. — Police have arrested a Martin County man who they say was one of three people responsible for setting fire to a religious display last month. The incident happened June 7 on the God’s Promise Trail in Inez. Police say the trio set fire to a prayer altar on the trail.

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:. Kendall Raymond Sartin, 24, of Beauty, was arrested Saturday on Gordon Hollow Road in Beauty for menacing. Deputy Justin Bellamy responded to a report that Sartin was brandishing a baseball bat and threatening to hit his grandmother with it. Upon law enforcement’s arrival, the terrified victim recounted a heated argument that spiraled out of control. Sartin allegedly raised the bat in a menacing swing and shouted, “Get through the house or I’ll hit you.”
