WATCH: Late Kick puts Penn State on upset alert for Week 1 trip to WVU
The schedule for the opening weekend of the college football season features nine games between Power 4 teams. You can relax: the Penn State West Virginia point spread is not the highest in the group. Would you believe the honor goes to the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game between Clemson and Georgia. The Bulldogs are 13.5-point favorites over the Tigers. Virginia Tech is a 13-point favorite for its road game against Vanderbilt. The Mountaineers are 10.5-poit underdogs for the rare home game against Penn State.
Former WVU hooper returns to The Mountain State to continue collegiate career
Former WVU basketball player Taj Thweatt is a New Jersey native, but something about West Virginia seems to speak to him. Thweatt spent two seasons in Morgantown from 2020-2022 playing under Bob Huggins, where he averaged 0.6 points per game during the stint. He would leave the program and transfer closer to his New Jersey home, spending two seasons in Philadelphia playing for the Temple Owls.

WVU Fall Camp preview: Running backs
It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. At this current time, there is no media access schedule.

The basketball roster has come together for West Virginia.
