I stumbled upon Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar on Google after my plans to dine at The Bronte Boathouse fell through. This quaint bistro in Frederick instantly charmed me with its great service and cute themes. It was prom night, and the servers were all dressed up, adding a fun twist to the evening. Despite the noise, the delicious food and drinks more than made up for it.
I indulged in a feast of coconut shrimp, lobster roll, Le Royal (a delightful mix of oysters, shrimp, and scallops), BBQ ribs, escargot, lump crab cake, and calamari. The raw and chargrilled oysters were a standout, big and juicy, not the tiny ones where you barely have anything in the shell. The clams and old bay wings were just as good.
To top it all off, I treated myself to three desserts - a tangy lemon tart, a moist carrot cake, and the Vesuvious. The drinks were just okay, but the food was absolutely amazing. This place is not just a restaurant, it's a sports bar with live entertainment and happy hour specials. Despite the challenging entrance for those who are handicapped, Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar is definitely worth a visit. The exceptional service and amazing food made my special day even more memorable.
