I stumbled upon The Walrus Oyster & Ale House on Google after my initial plans fell through. Boy, was I in for a treat! The menu was diverse and fitting, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere that paid homage to the bay. I indulged in the coconut shrimp, lobster roll, Le Royal (a delightful mix of oysters, shrimp, and scallops), BBQ ribs, escargot, lump crab cake, and calamari. Each dish was creatively presented and the portions were generous, considering the quality of the food.
The flavors were subtle, but everything was tasty. The cornbread, sweet and cake-like, was a standout. Even though I'm not an oyster fan, I couldn't resist trying them and they were fresh and quite tasty. The desserts were the cherry on top - a lemon tart, carrot cake, and Vesuvious.
The Walrus Oyster & Ale House is a well-run restaurant that offers a great dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall ambiance. The food was outstanding, with a wow factor that left me impressed. I highly recommend this place, it's worth every visit!
