ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Hawks Women's Volleyball program was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with the Team Academic Award. Storm leaves damage at Fort Drum
FORT DRUM, New York (WWNY) - The 10th Mountain Division headquarters at Hayes Hall was damaged during Tuesday’s storms. A portion of the roof was damaged and the offices inside saw minor flooding. No one was hurt. Other parts of the installation saw trees down, but no major issues.
Hinckley Reservoir Day Use Area, Million Dollar Beach Temporarily Closed Due to Storm Damage
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the temporary closure of Hinckley Reservoir Day Use Area in Cold Brook, Herkimer County. Due to storm damage in the area occurring on the evening of July 16, the roadways leading to the facility are badly damaged and impassable. The facility will be closed to all patrons until further notice while crews work to repair damaged roadways.
Binghamton Deli Ordered Closed by City Just After Opening
A business that set up shop at the former site of a Binghamton Subway restaurant was open for a short time before it was directed by a code enforcement officer to close. A Johnson City man had worked for months to renovate the building at Conklin and Tompkins streets to get the place ready. The site had been vacant since the Subway shop closed suddenly about three years ago.
