It was a close race, but What The Fry has been voted as the top spot for French fries in the Blue Water Area.

More than 2,800 votes were cast for residents' favorite fry spots in the area in celebration of National French Fry Day. What The Fry earned nearly 46% of the votes.

According to What the Fry's Facebook page, you can check out their fries and other offerings via their food truck at Marysville Tractor Supply, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. They also have a carry-out location in Fort Gratiot and a new spot in the Wrigley Center in Port Huron.

Owner Justin Tappero said the outpouring of support was "heartfelt."

"Its very heartfelt, we treat the customer service as important as the quality of the food and that seems to really resonate with our customers," he said.
