A Maryville woman has been arrested and charged with allegedly stealing restaurant customers’ credit card information to fund her manicures.

Haley Nicole Bissonette, 22, Carpenters Road, Maryville was arrested by Maryville Police officers May 28 and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.

Bissonette had prior reports filed against her through MPD.

According to a report filed May 6, a customer was dining at O’Charley’s in Knoxville and paid for her meal with a credit card. Later, she realized the credit card was used at Nail Lounge Salon, 1739 W. Broadway Ave., for $91.75.

Employees at Nail Lounge Salon reportedly identified Bissonette as the culprit after viewing security footage because of her frequent patronage of the salon. After looking Bissonnette up on Facebook, the customer said she was able to identify Bissonette as her server at O’Charley’s,

Another MPD report, filed on May 23 by the owner of Nail Lounge Salon, stated that Bissonette had been a customer of the salon for three years and reportedly always paid in cash. The owner told police that on April 17, Bissonette received services totaling $200 and paid for them by manually entering a credit card number.

The owner said Bissonette did the same on May 2 when she received $130 worth of services. When he received statements from his bank, he reported that the money from the two transactions was not in his account.

According to the police report, he received a letter from his bank stating that the funds were returned because the card was not present for the purchase.

Allegedly, Bissonette visited the salon on May 23 and had $321.75 worth of services performed. The owner told police that she attempted to pay manually again but was told by employees that the payment would not be accepted.

The report states that Bissonette then paid with Apple Pay but called back the same day to request a refund. She was denied due to not providing a reason for the refund.

Officers reported that on the receipts where Bissonette manually entered credit card information, one was signed “Mysty” and the other “Angie.”

On the Apple Pay receipt, the signature reportedly read “Haley Meredith.”

The owner of Nail Lounge Salon told officers that Bissonette worked at O’Charley’s and he believed she was taking pictures of patrons’ credit cards and using those numbers to pay for her nail services.

Bissonnette was released on a $1,500 bond pending a 9 a.m. June 4 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
