2 dead, multiple injured in shooting early Sunday morning
Champaign — Two teens are dead and several others injured in a shooting that happened early Sunday morning. Champaign police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Cynthia Drive around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting with injuries. On arrival, police and fire personnel worked to render immediate medical aid until patients could be transferred to an area hospital.

PEORIA, Ill. – Careless use of smoking materials is listed as the cause of a two-alarm fire at a Peoria apartment complex. Firefighters were called to the area of Gale and Institute around 5:15 p.m. Saturday. They found heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the two-story apartment complex that houses 10 apartments.
