Grand Island police welcome new furry officers
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — The Grand Island police department is growing in numbers but, their new employees have a bit more fur on them. On Thursday two new dogs, "Boone" and "Chello", were sworn into service by Grand Island police chief Kevin Denney after the dogs had received a tour of Hornady manufacturing, officially making them active officers.

AARP grant funds Lincoln 'Digital Literacy' project for seniors
(Lincoln) -- Many seniors report using technology on a regular basis but those who do not risk missing out due to its role in so much of daily life. "Digital Literacy," a collaborative project in Lincoln, aims to help older Nebraskans strengthen their digital skills. The City of Lincoln's Aging Partners received an AARP Community Challenge grant of just over $20,000 for the project.
